Audition for MGSO!

Thank you so much for your interest in auditioning for the Madison Gamer Symphony Orchestra (MGSO)! We've received an overwhelmingly positive response about the ensemble, and we’re thrilled to see such enthusiasm from the community.

Currently, we have openings in the following sections:

Violin I (3 spots available)

Violin II (2 spots available)

Viola (2 spots available)

Cello (1 spot available)

For string auditions please prepare and submit video of the following:

• Exposition of a standard concerto

• 2 contrasting orchestral excerpts from the standard repertoire

Video Submission Details:

• Format: Phone recordings are perfectly acceptable. You may submit multiple clips or one continuous take—whatever best showcases your playing. We prefer YouTube links, if possible. Previous recordings may be used if they are no more than two years old.

• Purpose: We're asking for submissions that best demonstrate your current ability, as we will have a condensed rehearsal schedule.

• Audition submissions are currently being accepted on a rolling basis for the instruments listed above.
