Katelyn Hanvey

Katelyn Hanvey (she/her) is a trumpet player based in Madison, WI. During the week, she can be found in the administrative offices of the Madison Symphony Orchestra where she develops and coordinates educational concerts and community outreach programs as the Education and Community Engagement Manager. Katelyn received her BME from Central Methodist University (Fayette, MO) and her MM in Historical Musicology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. In addition to playing trumpet in the Madison Gamer Symphony Orchestra, Katelyn also plays cornet with the Madison Brass Band and the Milwaukee Festival Brass and subs in various chamber groups and ensembles throughout southern Wisconsin.
