Dr. Ida Balderrama-Trudell
She/Her

Dr. Ida Balderrama-Trudell is an experienced advocate for Inclusion, Access, and Belonging (IAB). She is dedicated to creating and supporting transformative partnerships and programs for historically marginalized and underrepresented communities. Her work is rooted in compassion, racial and social justice, decolonization, and love—with a little bit of sass. Her favorite video game is Kingdom Hearts (though she has never completed it) and she plays the flute, occasionally. She currently serves as the Director of Equity & Innovation at Overture Center for the Arts and also brings over 20 years of leadership in higher education at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. As Founder and Principal Consultant of Ida B Tru Consulting, Dr. Balderrama-Trudell provides innovative, community-oriented consulting and speaking in IAB. She holds a Doctorate in Student Affairs Administration from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse and is a proud queer Chicana, partner and mom to two young adult women.
